Ethnic capital and ethnic penalties are identified and their links to religion and segregation displayed and it is shown how religion, in the form of aspects of Muslim behavior, is becoming a boundary of Britishness at a time when significant sections of the ethnic majority evinces scepticism about multiculturalism.
