- Biomechanical factors are conceptualized as a neural substrate of evolutionary developed predispositions for acting in the world. These activity modalities provide the necessary infrastructure for an indibvidual to act in the world. Macrosocial factors are conceptualized as communal anchors because human action always takes place in some social environment, and these factors reduce the multifarious degrees of freedom. Related dialectically, biomechanical and macrosocial factors constitute each other in action. Activity Domain Theory is an attempt to elaborate Integrationism towards neuroscience and social sciences from an action point of view.
